The LNAT
Test includes two parts and lasts for two hours and 15 minutes. It has a reading part
consisting of several reading passages and multiple choice questions.
The student is given a 95 minute time limit to complete the reading and multiple
choice part of the LNAT examination.
The reading part of the LNAT tests the student's ability to understand, analyse
and interpret information. The LNAT reading test also assesses the student's
inductive, deductive, logical thinking and reasoning skills.
The reading and multiple choice part of the LNAT contains reading passages on
various subjects, although it is assumed that the student will not need previous
knowledge of any subject in order to complete the LNAT test.
The LNAT Exam also has an writing part in which the student must prepare an
essay on set topics. There is a 40 minute time limit for the LNAT writing test.
The student will be able to choose a topic from the essay questions provided.
The purpose of the LNAT essay is to assess the student's ability to carry out an
argument in the English language and to reach a logical, persuasive conclusion.
